Kasper

 Bern, Switzerland

Kasper is a joyful little boy who loves dancing, swings, cheese and toys with balls. When he's not following us around signing for biscuits and cheese, he loves watching CocoMelon, learning about numbers and colours, swimming in our local pool and playing with Play-Doh. Life can be challenging for Kasper and he particularly struggles with unexpected loud noises such as hand dryers or babies crying, eating certain textures of food and being touched by strangers. He also struggles with transitions and being overtired. He sees a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a speech therapist and an early intervention 'play' therapist. He has come along in leaps and bounds in the last few months especially with expressive language and now he is able to communicate with a mixture of Makaton (signing) and some simple words. We are incredibly proud of the little boy Kasper has become and we are in awe of him and his determination and bright bubbly personality despite the challenges he experiences on a daily basis.
