Diesel Truck Collection

Michael’s pen drawings of diesel trucks stretch across multiple sheets of paper — bold, detailed, and entirely without color. What began at age six as simple rectangles and circles has grown into intricate freehand renderings, all self-taught and drawn from observation.

For Michael, who is globally delayed and worked for years to develop fine motor skills, trucks became more than a subject — they became his breakthrough. Drawing was the first activity that motivated him to complete tasks, eventually becoming both a reward and a source of focus. He draws daily, pressing firmly with pen to create large, powerful trucks that reflect both his sensory preferences and his determination.

Today, Michael’s work hangs in multiple California dealerships, including the Freightliner dealership in Keyes, the Peterbilt dealership, and Tireboys. He often gifts his drawings to truck drivers and industry professionals.

This exhibit marks the first time Michael’s trucks are featured in an art show and auction — a proud milestone for an artist whose passion quite literally helped shape his progress.
